Refreshing Iced Green Tea– healthy for you too!
This refreshing iced green tea is a great drink for summer and very healthy for you! It has antioxidants which helps fight cell damage. A little tip: Don’t put tea bags in boiling water, it’s bad for the antioxidants. It’s better to put the tea bags in 160 to 170 degree water.
Vitamin C makes the antioxidants easier to absorb so add a little lemon juice. The nutrients in green tea can vary. Usually pricier teas have higher levels of nutrients and canned green tea drinks generally have less.
You can drink this in all seasons to get the benefits of green tea! My recipe makes a gallon but if you don’t want that much at one time just use one bag per cup. It also taste good with a few mint leaves added. My mom has spearmint and peppermint growing in her garden but if you don’t have mint that’s okay.
Hope you enjoy this refreshing recipe! Don’t forget to add ice!
